Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Procurement Business Division has a requirement for Project No. 672-06-102 for the replacement and installation of three service (cargo) elevators located in the main building of the VA Caribbean Healthcare System located at #10 Calle Casia, San Juan, Puerto Rico as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes the furnishing of all specialized labor, supervision, material, equipment, engineering support and associated costs. Project contemplates installation services necessary for the proper execution and completion of the project entitled "Elevators Replacement Phase 2". The anticipated cost range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 in accordance with VAAR 836.204.The applicable NAICS code is 238290 with a small business size standard of $13 million. Solicitation is Unrestricted and Open to both Small and Large Businesses. Solicitation will be issued on or about August 25, 2006 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov for downloading FREE OF CHARGE. Hard copy requests must be in writing submitted to Mr. Rey F. Clemente, Contracting Officer (CO), Department of Veterans Affairs, Procurement Business Division , Tres Rios Building - San Patricio, 27 Ave. J. Gonzalez Giusti Suite 600, Guaynabo, PR 00968, accompanied by a non-refundable check for $50.00 made out to the DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS attn. PROCUREMENT BUSINESS DIVISION. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at the website. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website unless you received a hard copy of the solicitation. If you submitted a non-refundable check for $50.00 made out to the DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS you will be sent a copy of any amendments issued for this solicitation. The Government determined not to perform pre-bid meeting for this procurement. If the offerors have questions or need further information, the offerors shall submit all questions no later than August 31, 2006 by 2:30 p.m. A tlantic standard time, attention to Mr. Rey F. Clemente, Contracting Officer via Fax (787) 781-8721, or via e-mail at Rey.Clemente@med.va.gov. Oral statements will not be accepted by the Government. Questions will not be accepted until this solicitation is posted to the website. Responses will be provided to all offerors on the bidder's mailing list.
