- *****UPDATE******* This modification is for the purpose of incorporating the updated Department of Labor Wage Determination into pre-solicitation notice FA8601-06-B-0005. Current DOL Wage Determination OH030029, dated 08/04/2006 is attached. ****************** DESC: PRESOLICITATION NOTICE for FA8601-06-B-0005; project number 050021. Period of Performance is 135 days. NAICS CODE: 238220. Size Standard $13.0 Million. Replace Air Handling Unit and Ducts, WPAFB, OH. Estimated Cost of Proposed Acquisition is between $250,000 and $500,000. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-704 ?Required Central Contractor Registration,? Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov or 1-888-CCR-2423. Scope of Work: This requirement is for replacement of the air handler that serves bldg 29 and updates to the DDC controls. This includes replacement of the main supply and return ductwork from the mechanical room through the main shaft and out to each floor. Installation of VAV boxes is included. The new air handler requires a larger space; therefore, the mechanical room will require enlargement. This further requires abatement of asbestos pipe insulation, asbestos floor, wall, & ceiling tile along with lead paint abatement. Areas of the ceiling on each floor will have to be removed and reinstalled. Special Requirements/Concerns: This facility is to remain occupied during the construction. Therefore, the contract must progress along a tight schedule with many critical tasks that must all be performed in the correct order to ensure the system is operational for the winter heating system. Thus, the work must be done during the no heat/no cool season. NOTES: 1. There will be a public bid opening. 7. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors.
