Description
This is a combined/synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F3Z3626194A100, is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-10 and Defense DCN 20060616. The solicitation listed here is unrestricted. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) 9999. The associated Standard Classification (SIC) is 3489. The North American Industry Classification System is 332999 and the number of employees is 500. This requirement will be set-aside for 100% HUBzone, however if two (2) or more responses are not received by August 18, 2006 at 1500hr PST, the requirement will then be set-aside for small business. If two (2) or more small business responses are not received by August 18, 2006 at 1500hr, then the requirement will become unrestricted. The government intends to solicit and award this purchase order for the following; (18 ea) custom made M4A1 Carbine Weapons Vertical Type Racks that holds 10 weapons with tactical modifications. The racks should work as a interconnecting group or as an individual modular unit. They will constructed of 6061T6 heat-treated aluminum. The rack main frames will be MiG welded, and the weapons will be locked into pockets of precision machined high density polyethylene to reduce vibration while being stored or transported. The final resting angle of the weapon once placed in the rack is 16-18 degrees off of vertical away from the weapon handler. The dimensions for the racks are roughly 56.5? wide x 42? tall x 15? deep. The primary construction material will be ?? thick 1.5?x1.5? 6061T6 aluminum alloy. Example photos are available upon request, email for photos. Here are some additional measurements that may be needed: the overall length of the M4A1 is 33", and the important measurement needed is the length from where the hand/pistol grip sits in the foam base to the tip of the muzzle. This measurement is 23.5". This is crutial for the muzzle locking device. CLIN 0001: (18 ea) M4A1 WEAPONS RACKS WHICH HOLD 10 WEAPONS. CLIN 0002: Shipping for the 18 racks. Offerors must quote delivery days. FOB (destination) is: 106 Cordelia Dr., Bldg 943, Travis Air Force Base CA. 94535. The following provisions or clauses apply to this acquisition. Offerors must comply with all instruction contained in FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offers-Commercial. FAR 52.212-2-Evaluation-Items paragraph (a) to this provision is completed as follows-Evaluation Factors: Specifications and Price. Award will be based on aggregate. FAR 52.212-3-Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items, a completed copy of this provision shall be submitted with the offer.
