Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice to synopsize the fire suppression system service requirement for the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. The Academy has approximately 25 Ansul R-102 wet/dry chemical, restaurant type, fire suppression systems located throughout the installation. Work includes inspection, testing, certification, preventive maintenance and repair of systems. A provision for a 2-hour emergency response is incorporated. The contractor provides supervision, personnel, vehicles, equipment, tools, materials, parts and other items or services as necessary. Parts for repairs outside of routine maintenance are reimbursable by the government. Contractor must have at least 5 years experience in maintaining fire suppression systems and hold NICET I and Ansul certifications. Ansul replacement parts must be used. Projected performance period is 1 Oct 06 – 30 Sep 07 (base period) plus 4 annual options renewable at discretion of the government. Total duration is 5 years, Oct 06 – Sep 11. Solicitation is anticipated to be unrestricted under solicitation number FA7000-06-B-0004 with heading Fire Suppression System Maintenance. Applicable NAICS code is 561621. Method of evaluation will be price and contractor responsibility as defined by FAR 9.104-1. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to receive award. Method of contractor response is sealed bid. Anticipated Invitation for Bid (IFB) is about 18 Aug 06 and will be posted on FebBizOpps.
