Description

The USDA Forest Service intends to award a RFQ contract for specified sections of fence removal and approx. 2100 linear feet of new deer fence. The contractor shall perform demolition of specified sections of previously installed wire woven fence. The woven fence shall be removed from site and disposed of at the contractor's expense. Existing wood and galvanized fence supports may be reused if their condition is inspected and approved by the designated Forest Service representative. Any savings from reuse of salvaged materials will be passed on to the government. The fence will be eight feet high using fixed knot 17-75-6 galvanized steel woven wire fence. Wire fencing material shall not have more than six inches between stay wires and shall have at least ten graduated line wires. The top and bottom wires and the stay wires shall be 12.5 gauge wires. The knot wire shall be 13 gauge wire. Two strands of smooth, high tensile wire will be attached at the seven foot and eight foot level of the fence. See spec for add'l details. Bonding/Irrevocable letter of credit is required for all quotes over $25,000 if you are awarded the contract. Estimated price range is $25,000 - $100,000. This project is not set-aside for small business.
