Description: This project consists of the removal of the existing corrugated metal pipe at Covert Creek on Road #648 and installing a new bottomless, corrugated arch pipe for fish passage at the same location. Other work includes riprap on the fill slopes, streambed simulation and replacement of roadway and aggregate. This project is located approximately 24 miles east of Grangeville via State Highway 13 to the junction of Lightening Creek Road #244. Then follow Road #244 to Mile Post 6.9 (the junction of Road #648). Follow Road #648 for 2.0 miles to the Covert Creek crossing and the project site. The project is located on the Clearwater Ranger District, Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho. Estimated Start Work Date: July 1, 2007. Price Range: $25,000-$100,000.
