Description

Work includes: Road work on and along National Forest Service Road (NFSR) #90. Removal of borrow and placement of unsuitable excavation at Ridge Quarry. 1425? of ditch reconstruction work. Excavation and removal of #2-24? culverts from Forest Service property and construction and installation of #1-24? culvert pipe and #1-36? culvert pipe. Excavation and embankment reconstruction of 33 linear feet of roadway fill failure including placement of geotextile and keyed riprap. Haul of construction materials including but not limited to culvert pipe, aggregate backfill, concrete Jersey Barriers, riprap, and geotextile. Replacing and realigning of 13 concrete Jersey Barriers and 9 steel connector pins at two separate sites, one site requiring removal of unsuitable rock excavation located behind damaged barriers. Dewatering, erosion, and sediment controls will be required. All affected roadway will be reestablished to the existing alignment and aggregate base and asphalt surfacing replaced. Unsuitable excavation from each site will be hauled to Ridge Quarry. All other construction waste including but not limited to slash, debris, culvert pipe, broken asphalt, removed Jersey Barriers, and organic material, will be hauled off of Forest Service property, documented, and disposed of properly and according to specifications. This project is located on and adjacent to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, in Southwest Washington. To access this area from I-5, take state Route 503 and 503 spur through the town of Cougar, and continue East untill it becomes NFSR #90. Skamania County WA. Offerors are encouraged to visit the site to become familiar with the project site before submitting an offer. NOTE: This is not set aside for small business in accordance with FAR19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. However, HUB Zone, 8A, Service Disabled and Vet Owned, etc. are encouraged to bid.
