- The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida, is soliciting a contractor to provide services as a Rastafarian Elder. The offeror must be an endorsed Rastafarian Elder and provide a letter of endorsement indicating their good standings with the organization. The contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, providing religious instruction, pastoral leadership, conducting worship services and counseling for inmates of the Rastafarian faith. The resulting contract will be a base period, not to exceed twelve months, with four (4) one year option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government. The number of two hour sessions is estimated at 24 for the base period, depending on the actual date of award and the availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or around August 16, 2006, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http:/www:fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed unless determined by the contracting officer to be in the best interest of the government. Future information concerning this acquisition, including any amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up to date information concerning this solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 813110. All qualified responsible sources are encouraged to submit a quotation that will be considered for award. The date for the receipt of quotes is September 07, 2006. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The government may make award without discussions, therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer initially. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov.
