Description

The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) designates areas of interest and beauty as Recreation Sites for the enjoyment of tourists and visitors. The Burro Creek Recreation Site is one of those areas. It is situated along Burro Creek within a scenic Sonoran desert canyon with an elevation of 1,960 feet. The peacefulness and beauty have lured many travelers to visit the Site which never fails to fascinate those who venture forth. The deep blue pools and tree-lined banks of Burro Creek and the surrounding saguaro covered hills offer a breathtaking view. The amenities include level sites that can accommodate recreational vehicles, a group campsite, tent sites, a handicap-accessible campsite, gills, picnic tables, ramada, level parking area, drinking water, restrooms, an interpretive desert garden, a watchable wildlife exhibit and an information exhibit. In an effort to maintain the Burro Creek Recreation Site, the BLM has a requirement for janitorial and maintenance services (hereinafter referred to also as "the work") to be performed at the Site located in Mohave County, Arizona in accordance with the following specifications. The Contractor will provide all necessary management, supervision, labor and supplies (other than Government furnished), required to perform the janitorial and maintenance services for the Burro Creek Recreation Site. The services include cleaning two restrooms and site maintenance duties such as collecting trash, picking up litter, hosing off concrete slabs, cleaning picnic tables, removing fire-ring ash and irrigation of the trees and shrubs in the day use area. Each restroom has three flush toilets, one urinal, two lavatories, one drinking fountain, one foot wash, and two trash receptacles. The resulting contract will be for one base year and four one year options.

Address: The site is located adjacent to Burro Creek in Mohave County, AZ, approximaately 17 miles southeast of Wikieup, Arizona. The entrance is located one mile south of the Burro Creek Bridge on U.S. Highway 93, than 1.5 miles west via paved access road.
