- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR STRUCTURAL STRENGTH TEST BRANCH DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM ASSEMBLY. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions asked before the deadline and to extend the due date for quotes. 1. Question: What, if any, software is expected to be included with our delivery? Answer:Beyond the software already loaded on the PXI-8105 by National Instruments, no additional software is required. 2. Question: Will NASA/MSFC provide a master set of software for these units? Answer: There is no requirement for vendor installation of MSFC test software. No software will be provided. 3. Question: Will NASA/MSFC be supplying the Acceptance Test Procedure for sell-off of these units, or is the supplier responsible to generate this ATP? Answer: Acceptance will be performed by MSFC at MSFC. Supplier need only power on/off the system's chassis, boot up the processor and evaluate condition of the hard drive and RAM and use NI set up utilities to verify the board is detected by the system. 4. Question: What is the type and model number of the connector is on the custom NI terminal block (part number 779709-01)? Answer: This information will be forthcoming in another amendment. 5. Question: What are the locations of the connectors on the custom NI terminal blocks? We need to determine the proper dimensions for the channel label overlays. Answer: This informatin will be forthcoming in another amendment. 6. Question: What are the delivery requirements for the 1st system and the subsequent systems? Answer: Delivery requirement of 70 days is 70 calendar days for the first system. Delivery schedule for the remaining 10 systems will be negotiated with the vendor following the receipt of the 1st system. 7. Question: What is the expected contract award date? Answer: The contract award date will depend on how many proposals must be evaluated. I'd like to keep that to within 10 working days of the end of posting period. 8. Question: Is a site visit to the vendors before award being considered for evaluation purposes? Answer: No site visit is being considered. The due date for receipt of offers is OR extended to August 24, 2006. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on July 31, 2006. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
