Description
This construction project is for the renovation of existing residential buildings located at the Keystone Work Center, 8 miles west of Laramie Wyoming. The estimated cost of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The NAICS code is 236118 and the size standard is $28,500,000.00. Solicitation AG-82X9-S-06-0128 will be issued and posted on this website on or around May 15, 2006. The solicitation will be procured unrestriced pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible businesses may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award date is September 12, 2006 with a project estimated start date of September 22, 2006. The period of performance will be 90 days from the Notice to Proceed. The agency anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract without negotiations. Here is a brief description of the work that will be included in this project: 1. Remodel a 440 square foot room in the combination building. Elements of this work include: a. Removal of 8 lineal feet of kitchen counter, sink and associated plumbing. b. Replacement of infill stud walls in two 8? X 8? garage door openings. c. Installation of a 36 inch by 80 inch wood door with half lite and an aluminum screen/storm door. d. Reinstalling a salvaged 36 inch by 40 inch wood window. e. Construction of an 80 square foot accessible restroom containing a lavatory, water closet and shower. f. Installing approximately 9 feet of kitchen base cabinets, including a kitchen sink and approximately 10 feet of kitchen wall cabinets. g. Installation of a government-furnished wood burning stove and associated code approved flue. 2. Construction of an approximately 33 foot long combination concrete and wood framed access ramp. 3. Electrical work associated with the remodeling includes: running new circuits; installing receptacles in new framed walls; installing new electric heating units and installing hardwired smoke detectors. 4. Site electrical work includes: installing new service disconnects for all three buildings; running underground service to all three buildings; installing new panels in the combination building and the barn; removing overhead power conductors; and installing a pole-mounted yard light 5. Installing new sewer lines from the residence and combination building to a new pre-cast concrete septic tank with siphon and disposal field. The existing sewer system will be abandoned in place. 6. Relocation of the existing drain for the combination building foundation drain that drains into or passes through the disposal field and installing a curtain drain on the uphill side of the new disposal field.
