Description

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC), Mt. Weather, VA 20135-2006, intends to negotiate with United States Tower Services, Ltd., for radio antenna installation, maintenance and repair at FEMA facilities to include the MWEOC and the Olney, MD Federal Support Center. Travel/services may be required to FEMA locations throughout the United States. Both the contractor and the employees performing the work must have a current top secret security clearance. Types of antennas include Fan Dipoles, Rotatable Log Periodic, Terminated 2-Wire Fixed Dipoles, Long wires, Spiracones, etc. Antenna sizes vary from an estimated 40 ft. height through 130 ft. Antennas are HF. Antennas could be on a permanent ground site or mounted on top of a building. RF power varies from 125 watts up to 10 KW, depending on location and application. Antennas could be standard commercial or customized for government usage. Manufacturers could include Andrews Granger, Antenna Products Corporation, Brown & Williamson, Sabre, Collins, or similar. This requirement is considered to be a commercial service. Interested persons may respond by identifying their capability to provide the required service, to include descriptive literature for their proposed service AND pricing. Responses must be received 15 calendar days from date of publication of this announcement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
