Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Correctional Institution, Milan, Michigan intends to make a single award for the provision of Solid Waste Removal and Disposal services at the Federal Correctional Institution, Milan, Michigan. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562111 (Size Standard: 10.5 million). The contractor shall be responsible for providing: A.) Pick up of one self contained compactor located inside of secure perimeter (FCI). To be picked up every Wednesday between 5:30 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. Empty compactor will be replaced before 9:00 A.M. B.) Pick up one 30 yard open top container outside of secure perimeter service. Pick up on an ?On Call? basis. C.) Garbage collection once a week from the following areas: (A) 12 Residences (B) One 6 CY. Container with hinged cover at Training Center Building. C.) One 6 CY container with hinged cover at Firing Range Pick up of one 35 yard self contained compactor located at the (FDC) Federal Detention Center. Contractor to pick up before 7:30 A.M. and Return before 10:00 A.M. Bi-weekly. (A) Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) One (1) 42 cu. yd compactor shall be located at the Unicor warehouse dock. The compactor must be removed between 5:30 a.m. and no later than 6:00 a.m. and returned no later than 5:00 a.m. the next morning. The compactor will be serviced approximately three (3) times per month. (A) One (1) clean semi-trailer, with a pull-up door locking latch, shall be located inside the secure perimeter of the Institution behind the Safety office. The semi-trailer will be used to store the white paper blades and cardboard blades. The semi-trailer will be swapped out between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. The trailer will be swapped out approximately two (2) times per month, and the Government representative shall call for the swap. The contractor shall provide the semi-trailer at no cost to the Government. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements? type contract. The contractor shall provide transportation of the equipment to and from the disposal area. The contractor is solely responsible for full compliance with all Federal, State, Local and all other applicable laws, policies, rules and regulations, regarding the disposal of waste and/or refuse. The contractor shall be responsible for the provision of all equipment, labor, licenses, maintenance, materials, parts, permits, repairs, tools, etc., that are necessary to complete the requirements of this contract. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base period . The solicitation will be available on or about August 21, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 20, 2006. The solicitation is set aside for Small Business. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. This award will be based on price factors. ?Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.?
