Description

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION (NOPCA). The Cryptologic Systems Group (CPSG) intends to award on a sole source basis, a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Safenet Mykotronx, 357 Van Ness Way, Suite 200, Torrance, CA 90501-1488. The proposed period of performance will be for a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The proposed acquisition will be for the purchase of various COMSEC equipment manufactured by Safenet Mykotronx and consists of 13 line items. The following description is provided: (1) Ground Unit, P/N: MYK-5, NSN: 5810-01-362-7347CA, size and weight: 5.5?x19?x18?, 33 lbs.; (2) Ground Unit, P/N: MYK-7A, NSN: 5810-01-382-6267CA, size and weight: 1.65?x5.875?x8.0?, 3.5 lbs.; (3) Rack Mount, P/N: MYK-7F4, NSN: NSL, size and weight: N/A; (4) Rack Mount, P/N: MYK-7F6, NSN: NSL, size and weight: 7?x19?x17?; 19 lbs.; (5) VLSI ASIC Microcircuit chip, P/N: MYK-11, NSN: NSL, size and weight: N/A; (6) Ground Unit, P/N: MYK-12A, NSN: 5810-01-424-5104CA, size and weight: 5.5?x19?x18?; 33 lbs.; (7) Ground Unit, P/N: MYK-16B, NSN: NSL, size and weight: 3.5?x19?x20?; 23 lbs.; (8) Ground Unit, P/N: MYK-16C, NSN: NSL, size and weight: N/A; (9) Ground Unit, P/N: MYK-17B, NSN: NSL, size and weight: 3.5?x19?x20?; 25 lbs.; (10) KIV-7M, NSN: 5810-01-530-2811, size and weight: 1.71?x5.88?x11.02?; 5 lbs.; (11) Ground Unit, P/N: KIT-223A, NSN: NSL, size and weight: 5.5?x19?x18?; 33 lbs.; (12) Fortezza Plus (Krypton) Cryptocard, P/N: NA, NSN: NSL, size and weight: N/A; (13) Fortezza Cryptocard, P/N: N/A, NSN: 5810-01-443-2994CA, size and weight: N/A. The proposed contract action is for procurement of COMSEC (Communications Security) equipment for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source IAW 10.U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one (1) responsible source. The Government intends to make an award by December 2006. No technical data/drawings/Technical Orders are available. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government?s requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contract Specialist within fifteen (15) days of this publication. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are a large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), or women owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. See Note 22.
