- Sources Sought Synopsis This is a sources sought announcement only. This announcement should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. If a solicitation is developed it will be advertised through FedBizOpps and th e Fort Lewis Directorate of Contracting (DOC) website (www.lewis.army.mil/doc). The Army Contracting Agency (ACA) Northern Region, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Lewis, Washington is seeking information on the availability of contractors to provide Reser ve, National Guard, Joint Service, military units preparing to mobilize and deploy training assistance and training support with the opportunity to exercise critical individual and collective skills in support of Stability Operations and Support Operations (SOSO) they will encounter in the Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Sinai and Guantanamo Bay areas of operation (AO). Training will be conducted at Fort Lewis and Yakima Training Center of units to deploy to several areas of operation (AOs). This training ma y require the employment of role players to act as Opposition Forces (OPFOR), Civilians on the Battlefield (COBs), Role players, and Arabic Speaking Role Players at multiple sites located throughout Ft. Lewis and Yakima Training Center. This will be a non -personal services requirements type contract. Specific information concerning each training program will be provided with individual task-orders. ACA DOC seeks industry input to determine if this proposed requirement will receive adequate support as a t otal Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19, to meet the following minimum requirement: provide role-player personnel services, labor, transportation, materials, and work incident al to the equipping and preparation of its personnel to support and serve as OPFOR and COB role players during tactical training conducted by units training at Fort Lewis, training support brigades and simulation brigades in accordance with (IAW) published training guidance at the designated training sites of Fort Lewis, and Yakima Training Center, Washington. Other sites may be added at a later date as needed and will be considered within the general scope of this contract as mission requirements increase or decrease during the performance period. Interested firms who are certified and qualified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern in NAICS 561320 are encouraged to respond and submit their notification to this office NLT COB 25 August 2006.
