Description
A- The National Park Service (NPS) is requesting information on Database browser-bundler with write-back capabilities. Background - The NPS is in the process of Asset Management reform processes to improve the management, tracking, data collection and reporting of information on assets and programs. The asset information includes, but is not limited to, documenting 1) specific data such as quantities, locations, etc and 2) the entire life cycle of each asset throughout the NPS, including acquisition, maintenance, operations, component renewal, rehabilitations/repairs, capital improvements, sustainment and demolition. Typical program information includes but is not limited to asset management, environmental, accessibility, transportation, concession, housing, fleet, roads, projects, dams, lands, natural cultural, heritage, planning, interpretive, structural fire, contracting, budget and funding information. Scope of Requirement - NPS intends to purchase a database browser-bundler with write-back capabilities for the following uses: for data cleanup 1) to pull multiple data fields from one database, refine the data and send the revised data back to replace original data fields 2) to review multiple work orders simultaneously and be able to update, edit or delete more efficiently, including changes to original data fields. For searching, comparing and grouping data 1) to gather and collect related work orders from Facility Management Software System (FMSS, which is Maximo) and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) and package and group them for transport to another database. 2) to accomplish similar work with any of the databases in the baseline. 3) for searching, comparing, filtering and sorting data in multiple databases. For importing and exporting data 1) to select specific data fields from other databases owned and operated by others (i.e. Federal Highways or Fleet, etc.) and import certain fields into PFMD databases. 2) to accomplish similar work in reverse, exporting PFMD data to other databases. For displaying and presenting data 1) to select data fields from multiple databases and provide reports and graphics to management and teams as necessary to communicate cross-relational issues, progress or other information. Compatibility with Existing Enterprise System (Hardware and Software Requirements) Software must execute in the NPS PFMD standard application server platform macromedia Cold Fusion MX. Software must be compatible with Maximo. Bundler Browser specific capabilities/system requirements: Capabilities must include, but are not limited to: Ability to sort and filter large amounts of data maintained in a variety of data sources (primary databases will be Oracle) but not displaying more than 10-30 records at a time, with the option to show more or less. Ability to perform calculation, percentages, totals and sort functions. Can configure search fields based on the field type of the data source. Can save search criteria for sharing or project presentation. Ability to export lists or partial lists to a variety of desktop file formations such as Word, Excel or PDF. Utilizes signature security/user accounts, access and data privileges maintained by Maximo. Allows various input criteria forms and resulting display characteristics including, but not limited to 1) basic (limited search criteria fields) and advance search forms (complrehensive list of search criteria fields) 2) Graphical representations of the results (scatter charts, bar charts and pie charts and line graphs) 3) Provide specific functionality to support PFMD asset management business practices, such as 1) Asset, equipment and work order analysis 2) Work order project bundling 3) Transfer of data to and from FMSS to other system or databases such as PMIS, MBS and FHWY. Training for Government personnel is also a requirement.
