Description

ACTION: P-Presolicitation Notice 6-2519-0017 The U.S. Geological Survey, South Carolina Water Science Center (USGS-SCWSC) intends to make award on a sole source basis to Advance Data Mining Services, LLC, Greenville, South Carolina to obtain consulting services of Mr. Edwin A. Roehl Jr. Mr. Roehl will provide technical services to the Everglades Hydrology and Human Impacts Study. The study is part of the Greater Everglades Priority Ecosystem Study of the USGS. Mr. Roehl has been researching and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data mining to process modeling and optimization problems in manufacturing and environmental engineering. He has scientific/engineering knowledge plus experience in understanding and modeling estuaries and rivers in South Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Oregon and Florida. The anticipated award date is 08/28/2006 under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code is 541710. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice must be submitted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Responses are due by 08/24/2006.
