Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, FAR Fac 2005-10 Effective 28 July 2006 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirements are (a) for complete design, fabrication and installation of a trailer for the 40-FOOT Personnel Boat; (b) complete design and fabrication of two floating pier systems (complete and ready for use by Port Operations); (c) complete design, repair and solution to the problem of excessive corrosion of marine foam filled fenders? hardware attachments located at the Romeo, Sierra and Tango wharves at the U.S. Naval Base Guam. Prospective offerors are required to perform a site visit prior to submitting a proposal. A site visit is scheduled on 22 August 2006. FAR 52.228-7 Insurance -- Liability to Third Persons (Mar 1996). No bidders mailing list will be maintained. Offers must be submitted on the Standard Form 1449 and must include the items listed in FAR Clause 52.212-3- Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items. This clause may be viewed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Prospective offerors are encourage to register in ORCA at http://orca.bpn.gov/ Any questions concerning this solicitation MUST be submitted in writing (fax or email) to the Contracting OfficerContact listed above. Offers must be received no later than the anticipated due date of 31 August 2006 @ 4:00PM Guam Time. Offers must be sent by fax or email only. The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price Contract resulting from this announcement.
