Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWCDIV Newport intends to place a fixed price order on a sole source basis with KITCO Fiber Optics for the following Fiber Optic Cable part numbers: 1 ea. 11218 with 28 STs, 50 ft; 4 ea. 11212-F30; 1 ea. 11217 with 28 STs; 1 ea. 11213-F10, 10 ft; 1 ea. 11555, 50 ft; 1 ea. 11214-F35; 1 ea. 11556 40 ft; 8 ea. 11216 6 ft; 4 ea. 11215, 60 ft; 4 ea. 11216 1.1P, 6 ft; 1 ea. 11212-F03; 1 ea. 11212-F04; 1 ea. 11212-F05; 1 ea. 11212-F06; 4 ea. 11296-F25; 2 ea. 11296-F45; 6 ea. 11215-F50; 1 ea. 0900-MISS; . Delivery is within 8 weeks. The basis for the sole source is to ensure 100% compatibility with current ANWSQ.9 system and cables. All the cables in the current configuration were purchased from KITCO, as well as all the cables use dot link the components of the ANWSQ.9 system. 100% compatibility is necessary for the purpose of performing debugging. No solicitation will be posted; this synopsis is the only notice for this procurement. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
