- THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITION NOTICE # ST53011 FOR SERVICES TO DEVELOP WORKS ON-LINE LEARNING MODULE (WIC) The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Services is hereby amending Solicitation number ST53011 to reflect the following changes: 1. Change the deliverable schedule as shown below in Appendix A; Deliverable Schedule 2. To incorporate the various questions and answers received from the interested parties. 3. To extend the date for receipt of quotes to August 22, 2006, no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time Appendix A: Deliverable Schedule PWS Section Deliverables Due 5.1 Submit Project Schedule at Kick Off Meeting September 8, 2006 5.2 Status Reports Every Thursday to SME?s 5.3 Alpha Phase Due September 22, 2006 5.3 Beta Phase Due October 17, 2006 6.1 Test System October 23, 2006 6.2 Implement into Production November 1, 2006 5.5-5.6 Final Product and Report Due January 4, 2007 Questions and Answers: 1. Q -- What type of multimedia is to be used? A-- Windows Media Player 10 is fine. All contents will be provided for, but it is up to the developer to create the questions and answers. 2.Q -- Is there a specific format that must be followed? A -- FNIC is required to follow the USDA guidelines for their Web sites; every Web site has been migrated to the format set by USDA Headquarters. The updated modules must follow the current format that you see on the Web site for this project so it has a seamless look. 3. Q -- Is there a set number of questions and answers to pre-test/post test and assessment questions? A -- There is no set number of pre and post test assessment questions. The WIC team has worked on all the content for each module and will provide such. They expect the developer to come up with questions and answers for each module. Since the WIC team will review all work on the project to make sure the interpretation of the content is correct; there should be no misunderstandings nor problems. The WIC team expects realistic scenerios set up according to the content provided; the staff will be available to assist you with understanding of the WIC clinic setting if you need this information. 4. Q -- A review of the 4 current lessons at WIC Learning Online will increase our understanding of FNIC goals for the Infant Feeding lesson. Can you please send us a user name and password so that we may tour the existing lessons and modules? A -- user id - rdavis password - snoppy 5. Q -- Should we assume the richness of the media will be similar to the existing lessons? A -- Yes, it will be very similar The government will provide source material to the contractor. Please give a general description of the source material (format and approximate number of pages of material for example). The text will be in MS Word and each module will be approximately 10-15 pages of typed material.
