Description: The work includes reconstruction of 12 miles of existing wilderness trail. Restore deteriorated trail tread, install waterbars, brushing and limbing, and one relocation to reduce grade. This project is entirely within the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. The project begins at the trailhead at 14 mile tree on the Magruder Road 468. The trailhead can be accessed from Elk City by following FR 222 to its intersection with FR 468, approximately 0.5 miles south of the old Red River Ranger Station. The trailhead for Cache Creek Trail 501 is just before MP 14 on FR 468.
