Description

THIS SOLICITATION IS RE-OPENED ALONG WITH AMENDMENT NUMBER ONE. The USDA Forest Service, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Supervisor?s Office, PO Box 640, 30 S. Chiricahua Street, Springerville, Arizona, 85938, has a requirement for Tree Thinning and Slash Treatment (Piling) on approximately 237 acres on the Clifton Ranger District (The project work area is located 21 miles South of Alpine, Arizona). The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The Request For Quotation(RFQ) is set-aside 100% for small business. The Small Business size standard is $6.0 Million under NAICS code 115310. The RFQ package is available electronically on http://www.fedbizopps.gov, and hard copies will be mailed out by request on or after August 17, 2006. A PRE-BID MEETING NEAR THE SITE HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 23, 2006, 10:00 A.M. AT THE STRAYHORSE WORK CENTER, APPROXIMATELY 34 MILES SOUTH OF ALPINE, AZ, ON HIGHWAY 191 AT MILE POST 220 (57 MILES NORTH OF CLIFTON, AZ).
