Description
This is not a solicitation announcement and this notice does not constitute any commitment by the Government. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified 8(a), Hubzone and Service Disable d Veteran Owned Small Business firms. Only these type small business firms shall respond to this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, anticipates a future procurement to construct a 1,914 SM ( 20,600 SF) Combat Search and Rescue Headquarters Facility at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. Facility includes administrative and high security areas. Facility will be vertical construction consisting of a reinforced concrete foundation with floor slab, structura l steel frame, integrally colored concrete block, and a standing seam metal roof. Interior finishes suitable for an administrative facility are included. Building systems will include HVAC, security alarm, mass notification system, fire detection, fire s uppression, and public address systems. Fenestrations will be anodized aluminum. Utilities, site improvements, landscaping, access road, parking, and all support are required. The contractor must obtain necessary construction and environmental permits. Contractor must be able to obtain access to Davis-Monthan AFB. The contractor is required to manage labor and material access to the installation with security access considerations. The cost of construction will not exceed $4.5 million. Construction d uration is 330 calendar days. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 236220. Documentation should be submitted with the following considerations: Required experience in vertical constructi on, administrative facilities, managing numerous subcontractors. Experience on projects of similar scope and magnitude. Bonding capacity for projects of similar scope and magnitude. Preparing, and compliance with, various environmental and construction permits. Capacity to execute this project with other ongoing construction contracts. Responses should be submitted via email to Mrs. Wanda Gerhardt, Contract Specialist at wanda.p.gerhardt@sam.usace.army.mil. Submittals are due no later than 14 calendar days following the publication date of this announcement. Submittals will not be returned. Telephonic responses will not be honored. This is not a Request for Proposal, only a Request for Information. No award will result from this Sources Sought.
