Description
This is a modification to previous announcement posted 9 August 2006. The Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. is performing sources sought for a Radiation Oncology Physicist. Qualifications: a) Must hold a Doctorate (Ph.D.) or Masters degree with concentration in Radiation Oncology Physics from an accredited college or university, b) Shall be board certified or be eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Radiation Oncology Physics, c) The Radiation Oncology Physicist performing und er this contract shall posses a minimum of 3 years uninterrupted experience in Radiation Oncology Physics at an accredited Radiation Oncology Center, d) He/She should have a working knowledge and experience in current technology and techniques in Radiatio n Oncology. These include high energy accelerators with on-board Cone Beam CT, their commissioning and applications, IMRT verification equipment and procedures, and Radiosurgery, e) Shall have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification t o practice radiation oncology physics in one of the fifty states or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The licenses or certificates must be maintained in a current status during the life of the contract.
