- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) ? Orlando, TSD intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to JACO Electronics Inc on a sole source basis. However, interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements, which demonstrates their ability to meet the needs of the Government. Interested sources are encouraged to submit quote. All proposals, timely received, will be considered by the Government. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This action will be negotiated on a sole source basis because this item must meet the design, fit, form, electronic/electrical and functional characteristics to provide integrity and consistent configuration to trainer Device #21E17 and interchangeability of the parts already in use in the trainer. Therefore, Jaco Electronics? NAVAIR 201-LCD-KIT is the only product able to meet the government?s need. Solicitation number 0010178097 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-11 and Defense Acquisition Circular (DAC) 91-13 Correction. The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 are applicable to this procurement. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 334111 with a size standard of 1000 employees. This procurement is to purchase: QTY of 34, JACO Part Number = NAVAIR 201-LCD-KIT. It includes: LG/PHILIPS 20.1 Active Matrix Flat Panel, 20.1? Saw Touch Sensor, USB Touch Controller, USB Touch Cable Kit, LCD ? Analog Controller Board, Backlight Power Inverter, LCD Inverter Cable Kit, LCD OSC Board, LCD Panel Cable, Power Supply, and Custom Kitting for all components. Delivery: F.O.B. destination To: NAVAIR Orlando TSD 12350 Research Parkway Orlando, FL 32826 The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, 'Instructions to Offerors', applies to this acquisition with the addendum that offerors are required to submit warranty information and parts availability with their offers. Evaluation Criteria: The Government will award a contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsive responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this notice will be the most advantageous, representing the best value to the Government. A firm fixed price purchase order will be awarded. The failure of an offeror to provide information sufficient to determine conformance with the solicitation may result in the offeror being ineligible for award.
