Continuation of the required Navy Official Travel Management services is needed in order to ensure no lapse in contractural coverage until award of the Department of Defense worldwide commercial travel services acquisition (now being solicited under RFP W91QUZ-06-R-0051). The required official travel management services include, but are not limited to, the following: air, bus, and rail reservations and ticketing for all scheduled carriers; Government and Commercial lodging reservations; rental car arrangements; automated central billed account reconciliation and related reports; management information reports; and 24 hours toll free information and assistance hot-line. The period of performance for the resultant contract will consist of a six month base period, commencing 01 October 2006 through 31 March 2007, plus two, three-month option periods to extend the term of the resultant contract through 30 September 2007, if exercised. Award of a Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of the synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Number note 26 applies.
