Description

The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to BRIMROSE CORPORATION OF AMERICA, 19 LOVETON CIRCLE, HUNT VALLEY LOVETON CENTER, BALTIMORE, MD 21152-9201 USA. The FDA's lab scale processing applications within the Division of Product Quality Research require the same spectrometers with the same quality and ruggedness that are used in full scale production processes. Brimrose is currently the only vendor offering industrial grade AOTF-NIR spectrometers for lab scale work. There are no potential substitutes. On this order, we are purchasing two spectrometers with the following specifications: (1) Luminar 3040 Dual Purpose AOTF-NIR Spectrometer (2) Luminar 4030 Miniature Free Space Process AOTF-NIR Spectrometer NO REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. An award will be made in seven (7) days from the date of this notice. Sources may submit a quote, which fully demonstrates their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to Harry.BrubakerIII@FDA.HHS.GOV. No phone calls will be accepted. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
