Description
THIS NOTICE IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY!!!!!!! The U.S. Department of State's Division of Safety, Health and Environmental Management (OBO/OM/SHEM) is seeking sources capable of supplementing in-house staff (at embassies, consulates and missions overseas) when the need arises and to respond effectively to all requests for assistance on a broad range of technical issues involving multiple disciplines including safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health and environmental management. The contractor shall be capable of providing the services of the appropriate professionals/experts capable of providing the variety of safety, health and environmental management services when needed/solicited and within the timeframe needed. Capable parties must be able to obtain a Defense Security Service (DSS) Top Secret facility clearance. The facility clearance must be maintained. Contractor personnel assigned to this contract shall possess either Secret or Top Secret clearances. The type of contract personnel the capable parties must be able to provide are as follows: 1) Program Manager/Senior Certified Industrial Hygienist (15-20 years experience) 2) Certified Industrial Hygienist (10-15 years experience) 3) Certified Safety Professional(10-15 years experience) 4) Certified Professional Ergonomist (10-15 years experience) 5) Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (10 years) 6) Certified Health Physicists (10 years) 7) Environment Scientist/Water Quality Specialist (8-10 years experience) 8) Industrial Hygienist (8-10 years experience) 9) Statistician (10 years experience) 10) Clerical Support (5 years experience) Contract personnel shall meet or exceed the following qualifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) ? An individual who is currently a Diplomate of the American Academy of Industrial Hygiene subject to compliance with requirements established by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Industrial Hygienist (IH) - A professional industrial hygienist is a person possessing either a baccalaureate degree in engineering, chemistry, or physics or a baccalaureate degree in a closely related biological or physical science from an accredited college or university, who also has a minimum of three years of industrial hygiene experience. A completed doctoral in a related physical, biological or medical science or in related engineering can be substituted for two years of the three-year requirement. A completed master's degree in a related physical or biological science or in related engineering can be substituted for one year of the three-year requirement. Under no circumstances can more than two years of graduate training be applied toward the three-year period. Certified Safety Professional? (CSP?) ? An individual who actively maintains the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation accredited by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Ergonomist ? An individual engaged in the practice of human factors engineering or ergonomics Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) Certified Human Factors Professional (CHFP), Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Associate Human Factors Professional (AHFP), or Certified Ergonomics Associate (CEA). Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM?) - An individual who has achieved and maintains certification from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management. Health Physicist ? An individual engaged in the practice of the recognition, evaluation, and control of health hazards to permit the safe use and application of ionizing radiation. Certified Health Physicists (CHP) - or Diplomates of the American Board of Health Physics (DABHP) as sponsored by the American Board of Health Physics. Water Quality Specialist Statistician ? An individual engaged in the professional application of statistics who has an advanced degree in Statistics, biostatistics or mathematics with a concentration on statistics. Water Quality Expert ? A technical expert, most likely possessing an advanced engineering, biology or health degree and extensive experience in evaluating drinking water quality issues.
