Description

FOR INFORMATION & CLARIFICATION ONLY: 1. Are the rolled angle rings stainless steel? If so, does the finish need to be #4 for the ductwork outside of the structure? RESPONSE: Rolled angle rings are the same material as the duct, I.E. stainless steel, mill finish is acceptable on them. 2. Welded or Vanstone joint ends? RESPONSE: Vanstone is preffer; 3. Gasket material & thickness?. RESPONSE: RTV caulk or 1/8 inch red rubber 4. Bolt (fastener) material? RESPONSE: Bolts are the same material as the duct, i.e. stainless steel. We would preffer bronze nuts on the stainless steel bolts. 5. What is the required material and finish for the fan curb rails, fan structural frame, fan frame supports & roof duct supports, hood and duct hanger allthread? RESPONSE: Paint grip finish on galvanized steel. Paint per specifications. 6. One of the alternate sanitizer suppliers has asked what the annual Volume of "Red Bag" and annual volume of "Sharps" will be. He can't find that info in the plans & specs. Can you please provide it? RESPONSE: The per cycle capacity of the unit and the time per cycle as well as the efficacy of the process are included in the documents and the contractor is to provide a system that meets or exceeds the stated capacity. The information is found in specification section 11172 paragraphs 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5 indicate the equipment capacity. Warranty is in Par 1.7 and 1.8. No change in the BOD, or to the requirements of the SOL.
