- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina (DVAMC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Siemens Building Technology of Morrisville, North Carolina to Upgrade Stand-Alone Control Units (SCU)with modular building controllers (MBC). Siemens is the original manufacturer of this equipment and previous history indicates they are the only source for the proprietary hardware and software that operates this system. No other company can interface with this Siemens system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents is available and telephone request will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
