Description

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Consolidated Operations Acquisition Center (COAC) intends to purchase an ISS, Inc., brand name Piezoelectric Stage Imaging System. The system includes the following components: 1) Item #API, XY piezo-controlled stage with Z-direction piezo-control, Software-controlled, closed-loop XYZ scanning flexure stage for positioning the sample with submicron precision; unit shall be driven by piezoelectric actuators over a 45 x 45x 250 microns volume, to include the following parts;(a) P-541.2DD High-Speed, Low-Profile Nano positioning Stage, 50x50nm, Cap. Sensors, Sub-D Connector, (b)E-500.00 Controller Basic Chassis 19, (c)quantity 3 E-505.00 LVP2T Piezo Amplifier Module, -20 to 120V, 200W, (d)E-509,C3A Sensor & position Servo-Control Module for Piezo-Driven Nanopositioning system, capacitive sensor, 3 channels, (e) P-725.2CL PIFOC, High-Speed Nanofocusing Drive, 250nm, direct metrology, LEMO, for Quick Lock, (f)P-721.11Q Quick Lock Thread M25x0.75, quantity one (1) each, 2) Item #A570.P, Image data acquisition and control unit for XYZ piezo-stage or scanner mirrors. Includes the following parts; (a) 3-X DAC control card for confocal microscopy. Features separate control of three (3 channels plus minus 12V), with 16-bit DAC, 10MHz synschronization clock input, on PCI master bus architecture, (b)16-bit data acquisition card for feedback control and analog acquisition, (c) Breakout unit for analog card, (d) The vista FCS and Imaging data acquisition and an analysis package (MS-Windows ME/XP) shall include routines for two (2) channel data acquisition and data processing of up to two (2) components, and allow multiple files to be analyzed using global analysis with either auto correlation functions or photon counting histograms, (e) Computer (Pentium 3Ghz, 1GB RAM, 80 GB hard drive) and software for instrument control, data acquisition and image data processing, quantity one (1) each, 3)Item #MWW, Mechanical modification of a manual stage for positioning and fixing the piezo-stage, quantity one (1) each 4) with one (1) year warranty after delivery installation of equipment. The brand name determination is based on the Government?s requirement for piezoelectric stage imaging system with 20nm resolution and the potential to scan lines in 2ms, along with imaging software that acquires high quality analog signals during scanning. ISS software is compatible and meets the need for rapid scanning and acquisition of a signal which is able to integrated faster, and allow the government less time developing software. This purchase along with the exiting dual laser optic will provide images with 5 - 10 times, better detail than now available to ISS, Inc., meets the entire requirement for a piezoelectric stage imaging system Acquisition, and is the only known system that meets the government?s minimum needs. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees which are applicable for this requirement. This requirement is a small business set-aside. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the product in this synopsis should submit a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, commercial price list, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin) Shipping cost, if applicable, business size, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted.
