- Description
- This amendment is issued to answer contractors' questions. Question: 1.Are you looking for the capabilities of Teams in the responses to the sources sought or the capabilities of individual companies? 2. What is the estimated value of this new requirement? 3. Can you give some examples of the Redstone customers? 4. Throughout the synopsis is the statement They provide management and planning in support to the other service support programs (SSPs) within this service, which indicates these functions are being performed now. Please clarify whether these functions a re currently being performed by government or contractor personnel? Answer: 1. The approach the responders utilize for the market research is their determination. 2. There is no current requirement. 3. No examples are available at this time. 4. Some of the functions described in the Sources Sought Notice have or are currently being performed by both Government and contractor personnel. Question: 1. Are elements of the work described in the Sources Sought currently being provided to the Redstone Garrison under the ITSS contract? 2. If the elements of work are similar or the same, is it the intent of AMCOM Base Operations to move these IT services being provided under the ITSS contract to another contract vehicle? 3. If the elements referenced above are the same or similar, in keeping with the Armys plan for a single DOIM to provide common services, would it not better serve AMCOM and DOD resources to move the ITSS contract from the CIO/G6 to the Garrison ins tead of going through the expense and risk of another procurement? Answer: 1. Some of the functions described in the Sources Sought Notice are similar to or the same as those in the ITSS contract. 2. It is no intent of the Sources Sought Notice at this time. 3. It is no intent of the Sources Sought Notice at this time. Question: 1) Depending on the outcome of the A-76 study, do you envision that all, or only part, of the activities listed will be outsourced to a contractor for execution? 2) Understanding that if the study reveals that it is in the best interests of the government to outsource some portion of the work, will activities such as records management and the storage of paper documents remain a government function due to t he potential proprietary nature of those requirements? 3) Again, assuming that the study reveals outsourcing some or all of the functions to be in the best interests of the government, will the government consider setting up an industrial account fund so that once resources are identified for a fiscal year, they will be protected for that year and not subject to realignments and redistributions? Answer: Regarding all three questions, this is a Sources Sought Notice for market research only. No A-76 study was mentioned in this notice.
