Description

Subject to final approval, the Bureau of the Public Debt, Administrative Resource Center intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to the University Of Western Michigan to acquire/expand existing research on efficacy of environmental cues in way-finding. In consultation with Access Board staff, the Department of Orientation and Mobility at Western Michigan University will expand the numbers of human subjects in its current study on alignment. Using a specially-constructed course on the campus grounds to avoid confounding data from vehicle traffic, the study shall assess the relative value to independent wayfinding without vision cues. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt-Administrative Resource Center will consider all affirmative responses received no later than 08/25/2006 by 2:00 P.M. EDT. Affirmative responses shall reference ABA-02010-06-089 and shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the required services at terms more advantageous to the Government. Requests for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered affirmative responses. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be issued to: Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49008.
