Description

In accordance with FAR subpart 13.106(b) (1), the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Applied Biosystems in Norwalk, Connecticut for purchase of an Applied Biosystem 3730, 48 Capillary DNA Analyzer. CDC believes that Applied Biosystems is the only organization that can meet the requirements of this order because they are the only distributors for this item. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Documentation should be received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by CDC. A determination by CDC not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government
