Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Army contracting Agency, The Americas has a requirement for 14 each Motorola XTS5000 handheld radios. No substitutions are acceptable. Specifications are Portable Astro Digital XTS5000; 380-470 MHz; 1-5W; 48 Channel; Software Astro Digital; CAI Batteries 1750MAH; XTS5000UCM Hardware Encryption; AES/DES-XL/DES-OFB Encryption; Smartzone System Software; Project 25; 9600 Baud Software; MULI Unit Charger 110V; BATT 1800 MAH; FM NIMH; must be UHF. Radios must be Motorola XTS5000 handheld radios for purposes of compatibility with existing equipment. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS Code 334220; SBA Size Standard is 750 employees. FAR 19.102(f) (7) is applic able. Under the SBA Waiver to the NonManufacturers Rule, offers must supply end products that are manufactured or produced in the United States or its outlying areas. A single award will be made based on price. Award will be conducted under the provisio ns of FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisition and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. The solicitation document and in corporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12, Effective 04 Aug 2006 and Class Deviation 2005-0001 and DCN 20060812.
