- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a separate synopsis and written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/) and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00244-06-T-0935. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-12 and DFARS Change Notice 20060814. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. The NAICS code is 812332 and the Small Business Standard is $6.0 million. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, competitive action. The Fleet Industrial Supply Center San Diego requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing: Uniform rental and Laundry Services. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR UNIFORM AND LAUNDRY SERVICES: Rental/Lease and Cleaning Service of Flame Retardant Uniforms for NAVFAC HV Electrician, Electricians, Sheet metal Mechanics, Electronic Security Systems Mechanics, A/C Equipment Mechanics, Pipe fitters, Metal Finishing Painters, and Maintenance Mechanics. Contractor is to provide Uniforms and Laundry services for Coveralls, Pants and Shirts. Each flame retardant garment needs to be either labeled or bar coded for inventory control. These garments need to be cleaned separate from the non-flame retardant garments. Shirts, and coveralls are to have NAVFAC embroidered emblem (the NAVFAC Logo will be provided) and a U. S. Flag patch on the sleeves. Eleven (11) pairs of shirts and pants, and Two (2) pair of Coveralls will be provide d to each authorized employee. Vendor is to provide pick-up of soiled garments and delivery services of clean uniform garments on a weekly basis. Description: Material: The Shirts and Pants must be constructed from 8 cal/cm2 NFPA 70E compliant Flame Retardant material. Coveralls must be constructed from 11 cal/cm2 NFPA 70E compliant flame retardant material. Color: Dark Blue for the Shirts, Pants and Coveralls. Contractor to provide Uniforms and Laundry services for Coveralls, Pants and Shirts. Sizing of individuals is to occur at the beginning of the contract. All alterations will be new. Shirts must be long Sleeve. Patches are to be embroidered. Contractor to provide Executive pleated pants for 12 Supervisors/Managers. Pants must be constructed from 8 cal/cm2 NFPA 70E compliant Flame Retardant material. Color: Black. Vendor to provide a Pick-up Delivery Services on a weekly basis. Employees will be Added/Dropped by Contract Modification issued by the Contracting Officer. Uniforms that are worn, faded, stained will be replaced with new or slightly used uniforms. For Missing or Lost Uniforms, the Contractor will notify the POC immediately and have receipt Signed for valid or missing items. Shirts ? Laundry, pick-up and delivery services: Contractor to provide pick-up, laundry and re-delivery service for existing government provided uniform shirts on a weekly basis. Contractor is required to label or bar code each shirt for distribution. Color/s: Light Blue (Lt) and White as specified in spreadsheets. White shirts for supervisors, Lt.
