- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to post the following questions and answers in response to the original synopsis/solicitation for the RSATS range, Okinawa, Japan. Does the site have electricity? If so, please give me the voltage and Frequency. If not, do I need to include the price of an adequately sized generator? No electricity will be available. This system is to be stand alone. Contractor is to provide all power. See 3.2.3 a. of the PD. Is there any ground work that must be done prior to insta llation? I will have wiring and some trenching to do. Will there be equipment available to rent, or should I be prepared to ship everything I need, including large equipment. No. Also, no trenching is allowed. See 3.2.3 b. of the PD. In section 3.2.2 A - it states that the exposure time must be less than 0.10 seconds. This is not attainable by our lifter, nor any others I have ever seen, is this a realistic number or should it be 1.0 seconds? The requirement is 0.10 seconds. Early market research indi cated that this was feasible. Also, no questions or concerns were received when the draft SOW and PD containing this requirement were posted to the internet on 18 July 2006. State your best capability in your proposal. Also in 3.2.2 -B-, the target should react differently when hit than when timed out. What does this mean? The target will go down in either case, what reaction are you looking for? The circular plates need to go down in one motion when taking a hit and in another when timing out to allow di fferentiation between the two. An example of this would be if the target takes a hit it falls backwards, whereas if it times out, it slides straight down into the hidden position. In 3.2.2 G- States that the target and automated target mechanism shall ta ke a hit and react. Does this mean the target stand and the 8 circular disk? Do you want hit sensors on the plate as well as the door, standing frame, and kneeling frame? We are only interested in the circular plate reacting to hits taken when exposed. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (21-AUG-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
