Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Maryland Health Care System, Perry Point, MD site has a requirement for solid waste collection services. NAICS Code is 562111, Size Standard $11.5 Million. Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials and supervision required to perform solid waste collection and disposal services at the VA Medical Center, Perry Point, MD. Contractor will be responsible for the collection, transportation and disposal of solid waste from approximately fifty (50) Government-owned, 6 Cubic Yard, Open-Top containers located throughout the medical center, three days a week for the duration of the contract. Collection will require the use of a front-end loader truck. Waste shall be transported to Cecil County Landfill in North East, Maryland. Landfill fees will be paid by the Government. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period, with three 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be made available on or about August 30, 2006, and will be distributed solely through this website. The Government contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract resulting from the solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitations will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt proposals is September 20, 2006.
