Description: The government intends to issue a sole source purchase order to COMP-AIR MAKO, 1634 SW 17th St, Ocala, Florida 34474. Requirement consists of Mako model 5409HBA-DT Diesel driven, mobile breathing air compressor used to re-service 4500psi SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus) cylinders for fire, HAZMAT, NBC, and rescue operations. Mako Compressors is the only company in the CONUS that manufactures these specialized compressors as well as maintains back stock of replacement parts. It is essential that this equipment can be quickly repaired/placed in service in the event of failure.
