Description
The solicitation number is FA8601-06-T-0167. This is SOLE SOURCE procurement and the purpose of this solicitation is for information only. Any responses are due by 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), 6 SEPTEMBER 2006, to the point of contact identified at the end of this notice. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Clause 13.106-1(b)(1) and 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is XenICs NV, Belgium. 1. The proposed contract is for the purchase of the following: a. InGaAs, Array camera system (1 ea) with the following options: Model #XEVA-FP-1.7 320 by 256 Array camera Maximum frame rate of 350 Hertz Spectral response of 0.9 to 1.7 micron Camera link interface and frame grabber cables and software Single stage Thermo-electric cooler 2. Upgrade from single stage cooler to triple stage cooler. (1 ea) 3. Camera lens 70mm to 300mm zoom lens f/4.5 (1 ea) 4. Computer for data acquisition and camera control with 2 monitors (1 ea) The camera system must have the ability to capture data at a full frame rate of 350 hertz. Frame resolution must have the ability to go from 320 by 256 down to 8 by 128 the fame rate increases to 12 Kilo-Hertz (kHz). Camera system must cool down to 223 degrees Kelvin from the thermo-electric cooler within the design of the camera. The camera must have high frame rate and low temperature cooling features. Also, must be able to capture extremely low levels of light at a super fast frame rate. Justification for the Sole Source: The Government requires these specific requirements with the ability to perform as needed. The system must meet all of the above to be able to supply the needed performance. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received by the due date stated in this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the Government?s discretion.
