Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking-out qualified sources to submit a proposal to remove and replace the existing metal roof for the water treatment facility at the Green Lake National Fish Hatchery located in Ellsworth, ME. The water treatment facility is pre-engineered metal building, approximately 60 feet by 80 feet in area. The single story structure is approximately 30 years old and the existing metal roof requires replacement. The roof is on a 2:12 pitch with an eve height of 12 feet. There is a continuous ridge cap with two, 10 foot ridge ventilator sections at each end of the building. There are no roof penetrations or gutters on the building. The building ceiling is insulated with vinyl coated insulation which is held in place from below with wire mesh. The existing roof panels are attached to the purlins with exposed fasteners. Removal of the existing roof includes off-site disposal. The Contractor shall provide a new metal roof panel system, complete, including metal roof panels, manufacturers recommended fasteners, clips and attachment system components, miscellaneous metal framing and accessories necessary for a complete watertight roofing system. Accessories shall include new ridge cap and ridge ventilators, fascia, soffit, trim pieces, sealants, gaskets and closures to the existing metal wall panels which shall remain in place. The new roof panels shall be zinc coated steel with a concealed back finish and a fluoropolymer three coat exterior finish system. The roof metal thickness shall be 24 gauge (minimum). The new roof shall have four, 10 foot roof ventilator sections. The Contractor shall provide manufacturers information which thoroughly describes the items and features to be included with the proposed roof system including standard and special warranty provisions. Prospective contractors are encouraged to inspect the hatchery site prior to submitting a proposal.
