- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Veterinary Services Laboratories intends to negotiate solely with Ventana Medical Systems for one Discovery XT module under authority of FAR 6.302. The module will serve as an emergency backup and must be compatible with existing equipment already in place. This is not a request for competitive proposals nor is a solicitation available. Companies with demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide this item must submit a written substantive statement outlining the company?s capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 5 days of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contracted based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12.
