Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with ARAMARK Services, Inc., Philadelphia, PA for conference services for the Biometric Consortium Conference to be held at the Baltimore Convention Center, in Baltimore, MD from September 19-21, 2006. The determination for sole source is based on the following: ARAMARK Services, Inc. is the only in house contractor for catering services at the Baltimore Convention Center. The period of performance is for three days. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by September 1, 2006. A solicitation package is not available. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is not a request for quotations. A solicitation package is not available.
