- Description
- AFDW/A7K, Bolling AFB, DC intends to solicit and negotiate with Global Insight Inc. under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) entitled "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements:" Authorization to do this is contained under 10 U.S.C. 2304-(c)1. The contractor shall provide the Economic and Business Management Directorate (SAF/FMCE) a subscription to the Global Insight online database of economic indicators and forcasting services. This comprehensive database is currently available and has access to international information & economic indicators that satisfy this requirement. At a minimum this includes industry specific inflation indices, access to long-range historical data, and 20 years of forecast data for the economy as a whole. This acquisition will be a Firm Fixed Price award. The NAICS Code assigned to this requirement is 541690. This is a Fiscal Year 2007 requirement and is subject to the availability of funds in accordance with FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds, (Apr 1984.) This notice is neither a request for competitive proposal nor a solicitation for offers. A determination by the government to not compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. This notice should not be construed as a commitment by the Government.
