Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THE SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The NAICS code for this proposed acquisition is 238910. Federal Supply Code is P400. The Gov ernment will use responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions regarding the procurement for this project. The Alaska District Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified 8(a) Businesses for a potential set-aside for a di smantling, demolition, and removal of improvements contract for demolition of the old Bassett Hospital (Building 4065) on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The demolition scope of work includes A) Removal of all HTRW from building 4065 prior to demolition; B) Demo lition of building 4065 to include removal of building structure, all supporting foundation components and backfill and compact to grade. C) Demolition of the adjoining enclosed walkway connecting building 4066 (Building 4066 is to remain). Scope includes the restoration of building 4066s exterior and interior finishes and the removal or capping of electrical and mechanical systems at the service location in 4066; and D) Removal of site improvements such as parking lots, underground electrical, utilidor laterals and any other site appurtenances specific to building 4065. The solicitation is planned to be issued on a competitive proposal basis per FAR 19.8 and Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a)). Competition may be restricted geogr aphically to Region 10 (to include Alaska, Washington, Idaho and Oregon). All 8(a) certified firms serviced by the Alaska SBA District Office and all 8(a) certified firms with a bonafide place of business in Region 10 are deemed eligible to submit offers. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The Service Contract Act will apply. Interested sources are requested to submit the following information: (1) Firm name, address, telephone & fax numbers; (2) Confirmation of your Business status, i.e., 8(a); (3) NAICS Code(s) you perform under; (4) Past Experience- Description of completed projects that are similar in size and scope of the proposed project and the percentage of self-performed work. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prereq uisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Corps in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government and the Government will not pay for information solicited. Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation.
