- Description
- The Military Sealift Command, Sealift Program Office, Code PM51P, has a requirement to charter up to three (3) U.S. Flag, Jones Act compliant, clean, approved, epoxy coated, complete double hull product tankers with a maximum age of ten (10) years at the time of delivery. The charter will be for a period of 59-months (a firm period of about 12 months with three 12-month options and one 11-month option), beginning on or about October 2010. The vessels will be employed in worldwide trade for the transportation and/or prepositioning of petroleum cargo (including but not limited to, hazardous caroges) and for military readiness. Vessels requirements include but are not limited to: Minimum DWT 40,000/50,000, Maximum LOA 700 ft, Maximum Beam 105 ft., Minimum SOA 14 knots ? Force 5, and the ability (equipped) to perform Refueling at Sea (CONSOL only) operations.
