- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO: Draeger Safety Systems, Inc. DBA Swede Survival Systems Divisions, 700 Second Street, Suite G, Encinitas, CA, 92024, for the supply of a Phase 5- multi-story survival container system to provide ?live? fire training for the burning of class ?A? material, UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.501(a)(1). The Regional Contracting Office, Southwest (RCO SW), Camp Pendleton, California intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to above named company. The value of this award is estimated to be under $150,000.00. The purpose of this action is to maintain the integrity of the United States Marine Corps fire departments by ensuring the Phase 5 container system, supporting multi-story fires, be provided by the original manufacturer (Swede Survival Systems Divisions) to maintain compatibility and proper connectivity with the Marine Corps existing three phase systems utilized to support flashback fires, garage fires, etc. The anticipated award date is 1 September 2006. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. This notice is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice.
