- Description
- The United States Marine Corps (USMC) has a requirement for six (6) types of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Tool Kits: Disassembly Kit, Disposal Kit, General Purpose Kit (GP) Tool Kit, Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Kit, Search Kit, and Technician Kit. The EOD Field Operations (FO) Tool Set was configured from the EOD Field Maintenance (FM) Tool Set. The EOD FO Tool Set combined the EOD FM Tool Set tools with added components allowing EOD Teams the ability to effectively perform a wide range of specialized missions. The EOD FO Tool Set is now configured into the six above mentioned kits providing the EOD Team with scalable and modular capability to better support the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) and external agencies. The USMC intends to release a solicitation on or about September 4, 2006 for the Family of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Equipment for GTES/MCM EOD Program. The Marine Corps Systems Command requirement is for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract over a five year period, set aside for small businesses.
