Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued separately. The solicitation number is FA5000-06-T-0067. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated FAR provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12 and Class Deviation 2005-o0001. The DFARS provisions and clauses are those in effect to DCN 200600814. Purchase SIB broom cassette (part# SIB/MB-18/28-05) for MB Broom with 28 row Svenska cores. THIS REQUIREMENT IS FOR BRAND NAME ONLY. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO FUNDING FOR THIS ACQUISITION AND NO GUARANTEE FUNDING WILL BECOME AVAILABLE. The intended source of this requirement is Myslik, Inc., as this is the only authorized dealer of SIB Broom Cassette in North America. The SIB core comes with nylon inserts designed to absorb all the wear that the extrusions have incurred with replacement cost being a fraction of that expense. Nylon insert replacement is now required and is available on the new SIB core which has a five year warranty. In order to maintain the 5-year warranty for these cores, SIB cassettes must be used with these cores. Use of other brands would void the warranty and cause excessive wear to the core. Prior to 2005, broom cassettes were solicitated as ?brand name or equal? but because of the damage sustained to the runway sweepers, it has been determined that brand name is in the best interest of the government.
