- Description
- Are you looking for an installed onsite system, or an off site subscription service? If an off-site service - for what time frame? OnSite Preferred which includes required hardware. The government prefers to manage everything. What types of devices do you want to be able to contact (i.e. phone, cell, fax, email, blackberries, alpha or numeric pagers, other)? All of them. The government would need to know what your limitations are (5 devices? 10 Devices? Text only?). We pref er to have text to voice automated conversion. Text to voice defined is if the program requires an administrator to type in the message, it then broadcasts it to the profiles (in the?device order listed).? If and when it transfers from email to cell phone? or home phone, the program needs to be able to convert it to voice and complete the broadcast.? This?way the administrator does not have to prepare both methods of transmission. ? For your largest anticipated call out - how many people will need to be contacted, in what time frame and by what type of devices? At least 65 people and up to 1000 people. If the system has the ability to send out blocks, that is fine. We are not looki ng for a 60 second mass notification, but we dont want it to take 24 hours either. Are you looking for the vendor to supply the servers - Or will you provide them? Yes it must be 19 inch rack mountable with hardware. If the program requires little disk space and CPU, then a server is not needed. What type of backup system do you currently employ at the base? Veritas software (weekly full, otherwise incremental). Our network is windows based running on ethernet. Concerning Support and Maintenance - Are you looking for 8/5 business day or 24/7? Must have after-hours support and 24 hour receipt on parts/software to fix the system. Can you give us more details on the type of Firewall protocols you currently employ? No. If your program requires certain protocols to pass thru (in/out) then we need to know what they are. Some of the ones we looked at are standard HTTP. If the progra m requires unique firewall protocols, please indicate on your proposal. Higher Headquarters will give the New Hampshire Air National Guard approval to open the firewalls, we will consider this in evaluation. We are looking for a user friendly mass emergency notification system that will contact pagers, emails, blackberry, home phones, etc. This requires text to voice automatic conversion software, i.e., allowing remote activation of a mass notification (a sys tem that the wing commander can start from home). We require a simple interface allowing the base personnel to update their own information if a phone number or email address changes. If you would like to submit an alternative solution, please submit at the same time, but separate from the original proposal.
